How KayaKo handles your data

Short version: the calculator runs entirely in your browser and stores nothing about you. The only time we hold personal information is if you choose to submit the waitlist form. This page explains exactly what that involves, and your rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
Effective and last updated: September 21, 2026

Who is responsible for your data

KayaKo (kayakoph.com) is an independently operated home loan affordability simulator for the Philippines. It is not a bank, broker, lender, or government agency, and is not affiliated with Pag-IBIG Fund or any financial institution. For anything related to your personal data, contact us at hello@kayakoph.com.

1. The calculator itself — nothing is stored

Everything you enter in the simulator (property price, income, expenses, savings, age, loan settings) is processed in your browser. It is not sent to or stored on any server of ours. Closing the tab clears it.

Two exceptions, explained honestly:

2. The waitlist form — what we collect and why

If you submit the form, we collect:

Purpose. Solely to follow up with you about the thing you asked for — pre-approval guidance, connecting you with a broker once we have a partner network, or letting you know when the waitlist opens into something more. We do not use it for unrelated marketing.

Where it's stored. Submissions are written to a private Google Sheet via Google Apps Script — meaning the data sits on Google's infrastructure, which may be located outside the Philippines, under Google's own security and privacy commitments. Only KayaKo's operator has access.

How long we keep it. Until you ask us to delete it, or until we retire the waitlist — whichever comes first.

Who we share it with. Nobody, today. We do not currently have any bank or broker partners, and we will not pass your details to any partner in the future without asking for your explicit consent first. We do not sell personal data.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages visited, how long people stay, which features get used, and the anonymous scenario events described in section 1. This sets cookies named _ga and _ga_HPH7ELYNKG on your browser to recognize repeat visits. Google Analytics 4 uses your IP address only to derive an approximate location at the moment of collection and does not log or store it.

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing, or any tracking beyond this. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings, or with an extension such as Google's own Analytics opt-out add-on; the calculator works fully without them.

4. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you have the right to be informed, to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to object to its processing, to have it erased or blocked, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@kayakoph.com — we'll respond and act on legitimate requests promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).

5. Other things worth knowing
